Welcoming Our Newest Team Members!
Following an exciting year of new business and growth, we are thrilled to welcome several new members to the Happy Cog team.
Development
Branden Youngs is a Web Developer who loves bringing the frontend of the web to life. Originally from Virginia, he has lived in places like Denver and Seattle where he worked as a frontend dev creating headless CMS websites and applications (though his curiosity leads him to get his hands dirty in all phases of web development). He previously worked at a design studio called TechGrayscale working with clients including Fitbit and Virgin Pulse, and also built the entire Democratic Party of Washington’s website.
As a Full-Stack Web Developer for over five years, Chris “Cadams” Adams has been primarily focused on building software applications for law enforcement – previously having worked on a small team at Callyo (recently acquired by Motorola Solutions). He hosts a once-a-month meetup called Open Code for the Suncoast Developer’s Guild (SDG) that he’s consistently run for over four years, and is very active in his local dev community. He’s a lover of learning, and enjoys working with various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
Chris Violette is an experienced Web Developer with over 15 years of experience, having worked on everything from small town shops, to statewide health systems, to globally-recognized brands like Oatey, Duckbrand, Embrace Pet Insurance, and Caster Connection. With a focus on front-end development, Chris has a passion for building elegant user experiences for his clients.
Happy Cog continues to attract the best of the best in our industry, and we couldn’t be more proud of the team we’re building,” said Jeremy Gimbel, Director of Engineering Operations. “This addition of talent will further accelerate Happy Cog’s growth and our strong reputation for driving digital transformation for our clients.
Jeremy Greenawalt began his career over a decade ago working in-house as a software engineer, where he learned PHP3 and the earliest versions of CSS. He then wrote a book on CMS template development and ran his own shop, specializing in TYPO3 and Craft CMS development. Most recently, he worked in-house for a multi-family web development agency coordinating updates to their proprietary CMS and launching several internal Laravel products.
Digital Marketing
As an SEO Specialist, Ashley Appelhanz will work to provide SEO strategies to help capitalize on areas of opportunities, as well as generate organic traffic to clients’ websites. She brings several years of experience working with agencies and clients from around the US, and has a passion for improving clients’ business via SEO.
Brad Beckwith joins Happy Cog as a Paid Media Specialist, where he will design, optimize, and report on Google and social media ad campaigns for clients. Prior to Happy Cog, he spent a year working as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Picture This Media, a multimedia company that specializes in brand development.
Cassidy Watts joins Happy Cog as a Digital Project Coordinator, where she is responsible for leading internal and external communications on core accounts, partnering with the digital marketing team to ensure work is being delivered in line with client expectations, and assisting in campaign creation with the SEO, analytics, and paid media teams. Over the past few years, she has worked in broadcast and digital marketing, working with a variety of clients from small local businesses, to large healthcare corporations, and everything in between.
As Happy Cog continues to grow as a company, we are fortunate to welcome yet another group of smart, passionate people who are ready to deliver exceptional results,” said Lee Goldberg, Co-Founder and President, Digital Marketing. “The sky’s the limit when it comes to the things our team is capable of, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us.
