MJ began his web design career in 2000 when he left North Carolina to pursue an opportunity consulting on a digital magazine with a dot-com in Philadelphia. He’s worked out of New York since 2013.
MJ’s approach is noteworthy for challenging convention and pushing clients outside their comfort zones, evident in the landmark responsive redesign for Delaware Valley College and the rebrand of Harvard Business School.
His experience in motion design has been invaluable in adding an extra dimension to a brand’s digital presence. Before joining Happy Cog in 2011, MJ art directed website redesigns for New York & Co., Rogers Cable (Canada), Lincoln Vehicles, LG Phones, and GlaxoSmithKline, as well as online campaigns for several Johnson & Johnson products, notably Splenda, Lactaid, and Tylenol.
MJ lives in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.
